About Us

How did we meet? Don't laugh, but before dating me, Eric dated my roommate for almost a year.

The following year, Eric and I both found ourselves living in new apartments (with new roommates), living across the street from each other, in the same ward and in the same Family Home Evening group.

So two friends decided to give dating a try.

Our dates included dancing under the stars in Jackson Hole, watching nervously as Eric rode a steer (for the first time!) in an amateur college rodeo, and nearly rolling off a cliff while "jeeping" on "R" Mountain, to name a few.

That summer Eric invited me to his hometown of Omaha, Nebraska where he officially proposed. He set up a romantic table on a hilltop at the edge of a forest. He anxiously tried to get us there all day, but the weather wasn't cooperating. Finally, a little later that evening, the rain stopped, and we immediately jumped in the car. It was perfect. The sun was setting behind the trees, and we even spotted a couple of deer nearby. Then Eric dropped to one knee in the wet grass, gave the sweetest speech I'd ever heard, and asked me to marry him.

We've been married now for over eight years, and we're still very much in love, and can't wait to see what our future holds.
Please read our birth parent letter here to learn more about our story.

  1. Your adoption website looks great! A relative posted this on facebook. We wish you the best of luck. Online and "word of mouth" are a great way to get your profile out there. We have three adopted children and know what a wonderful blessing adoption is.
